"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him.” Colossians 2:6
Our challenge today!
Have you been Born Again? This passage is written to those that have been Born Again, those who have received Jesus Christ and are living a new life with Him. Why does he instruct those who have already received Jesus to walk in Him? Is there a danger that they might not walk with Him every day? Yes! The danger is real, although we are told to abide in Jesus and we will bear much fruit and we will have our prayers answered.
According to John 15:7, we are also told what it means to abide in Him. Abiding in Jesus is a daily activity, not just receiving Him and then walking away, but rather receiving Him and building a relationship with Him. 1John 2:6 tells us to live as he lived. This is God's high calling.
When Jesus tells us "Follow me" He is calling us to live as He lived!
