As mentioned in my profile, I am a mom. I have a 14 year old daughter living in Washington State with her dad, and an 8 year old and 6 year old twin sons. I have been busy raising children for the last 10 years, and finally am in a position in life where I can get back into horses. I grew up in Colorado on a dairy farm, my step father was a professional calf roper, and I got into barrel racing around the age of 7 or 8. Just doing play days at first on a little Shetland pony that I had. At around 10 or so my step dad bought me this little quarter/welsh mare, who had been barrel racing most of her life, and wiping out the competition one rodeo at a time. She was awesome. She lived to run barrels. Well we got her home and turned her out in the pasture where we kept my sisters Arabian gelding. He was always very cool with horses and never seemed to be aggressive, the next morning I went to feed my new horse she would not come she just stood there in the middle of the pasture. I walked up to her and tried to lead her and thats when I saw her leg had been kicked omg.... Well around 5 grand 3 pins 2 screws and much therapy later she was sound but could not be ridden for a year. Rodeo season was fast approaching and I had no horse. "Dang Arabian" I wanted to choke that horse. But instead ended up using him for that years Rodeo season. I was a true blue Quarter Horse girl all the way, and that blasted Arabian had hurt my horse, I really didn't want to give him a chance, but was I wrong. From the moment we started working together is was magic. His personality, his spunk, his stamina out did any Quarter Horse I had ever ridden. By the end of summer I was a true Arabian Horse Lover. My next horse was a half Arabian filly. I raised her from about 6 months of age, until she was around fifteen. I had to sell her in 1998 due to the fact I was moving and could not take her with me. This broke my heart. That crazy horse was my best friend. I think she would have given her life for me. She was just so awesome. Well I haven't owned a horse since her and a couple of years ago I got the itch to want another horse. I knew it had to be Arabian and I wanted a black one. I had studied pedigrees by some of the greats and one of my favorite Arabian Stallions is of course Bay el Bey
I also loved Khemosabi, Aladdinn, and Desperado V. Well I found a lady in Kansas that has Arabians, she offered a program of in-utero breeding, I was able to pick my mare and stallion and breed them to get my baby. Well I found Blackwind Mirage, direct grandson of Desperado V. Then I found that they had a black mare named HPA TuTu Shai, she is out of Khemo, Aladdinn, TheEgyptianPrince, Simeon Shai, and many more. Both mare and stallion were black with my ideal bloodlines. So I went for it and two years of payments and waiting later I have the perfect black Arabian Filly. I had also had a foal made for my daughter, he is black as well, and I thought I would sell him when she moved, but I am thinking I may keep him too. He is equally beautiful and has similar bloodlines as my filly with the exeption of his mother being half Quarter Horse Paint. Don't know yet what I will do with my babies, but the future holds no bars and I am going to be there for whatever comes. Thanks for reading my story. Hope you all have your dreams come true.
